1. How can I purchase an original work of art?

Original works can only be purchased directly from the artist. Please call (902) 769-2896 or toll free 1-866-769-2896 or email Denise at info@lagaleriecomeau.com if you'd like to discuss the purchase of an original painting.
Originals may be purchased unframed or framed. Paintings are framed using 4" off-white rag mats with painting float mounted showing the deckled edge, and the frame is maple finish unless otherwise specified. You can discuss framing options further by calling toll-free at 1-866-769-2896 or sending an email to info@lagaleriecomeau.com.

2. What do you mean by "photographic reproductions"?

A photographic reproduction of a work of art is a photograph of the original work by the artist taken in optimal lighting conditions so as to look as close to the original as possible, and then developed through a conventional photography developing process. The photographic reproduction can then be matted and mounted on a small frame.
The 8x10 photographic prints are matted with white core mat board and wrapped in a clear envelope.
The 10x12 photographic prints are matted in an off-white mat and available in a country look frame in a choice of three colours: dark blue, green and burgundy. The finished size of framed prints is 11x13.

3. What do you mean by "note card"?

A note card is a 5x7 off-white card of the "greeting card" format with a photographic reproduction of a work of art on the front. The inside of the card is blank and can be used for any kind of greeting. The back of the card includes the Comeau Studio Gallery contact information and a small write-up about the artist in both English and French.

4. Do taxes apply?

There is no tax for items shipped to the US or other countries excluding Canada.
For items shipped to Canadian provinces and territories other than Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland, 6% GST will be charged.
For items shipped within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland, 14% HST will be charged.

5. How are originals shipped to the customer?

6. How are reproductions shipped to the customer?

All reproductions are shipped as regular mail using Canada Post.

7. What is your gallery's policy for returns?
